Achaia Area
On the northwest border of Peloponnisos, covering 3.721,5 square kilometers and with 326.790 residents, the Region of Achaia has gained the favour of our Creator and of the nature and history, which have placed it:
- At the centre of an imaginable triangle that the three most significant archaeological sites form: Ancient Olympia, Delphi, Epidaurus.
- At such a point that it is a real gate to the West
- At the natural carfax of Epirus- Western Mainland- Peloponnisos and Central Mainland- Italy
- Very close to the capital of Greece, Athens
Achaia has many beauties to show offering hundreds of challenges and amusement opportunities to every demanding visitor, as well as great relaxing and wandering opportunities. Whoever gets to know Achaia well, it is certain that they will love it and will eventually become close friends which will be often visiting. For centuries, this place and its people have been struggling and have finally gained a powerful role at historical and cultural course of the Greek nation. This course has left its marks in every archaeological and historical monument of the Region.
